About

Alicia Braganza, Visual Artist

Living in a scenic province like Nova Scotia allows for a life with a stunning backdrop for our family adventures, and serves up daily inspiration for creating beautiful art. Experiencing the simple things, and being surrounded by such natural beauty here on the east coast are big sources of inspiration, especially time spent at the beach with my husband, two boys, and pup.

I would describe my ‘painting style’ as somewhat impressionistic; and like many Artists, that style has evolved over the years with practice & experimentation.  I enjoy colors found in nature, and large brushstrokes. Mostly a self-taught painter, I’ve also studied with other notable Artists, and taken courses at NSCAD University.

You will almost always find me enrolled in a course (in art or business) or dabbling in something new. My preferred medium is acrylic paint (on canvas or board), and sometimes I release work that I made with watercolor, gouache, or oil paints. I have managed to sell my work to a few people (other than my Mom) Internationally, and have recently transitioned to a lifestyle as a working Artist, Marketing Professional, student, and dedicated Mother. You can purchase my work here online, and at local art galleries in Nova Scotia. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Artist community at Argyle Fine Art in Halifax.

Please contact me directly for commission inquiries, or where to view a specific piece in person.

Thanks for being here!
